Countertops choice can be a difficult one to choose because each countertop can it’s advantages and disadvantages. Countertops can be even chosen according to the ages of the people that are living in the house. 

 

Granite

Granite is the most elegant material in countertops, it gives the whole kitchen look added prestige and accentuates the kitchen. They’re also very durable, resistant to scratches and damage from heat and it’s eco-friendly. However, it doesn’t have much of a variety in colors, it’s expensive and might chip if a heavy object falls on it.

 

Laminate

Laminate is very affordable and it comes in a variety of colors and patterns. It’s also easy to clean and good for the presence of children because it can be disinfected easily. However, it’s not very durable because it can be easily scratched and difficult to repair.

 

Tiles 

Tiles are a mixture of both granite and laminate in benefits. They’re durable, easy to clean, affordable, have a variety of colors and patterns, and are immune to heat. However, they may crack easily and are not as prestigious as granite in their looks. 

 

Stainless steel

Stainless steel mixes elegances with practicality and it can blend with the appliances to give a sleek look to your kitchen. The stainless steel theme would be mixed with wood cabinetry and they complement each other.  However, it’s relatively expensive.
