Too much white lighting can make your space feel harsh

Now that you are looking for the most suitable light for your room or your house you might want to consider reading this. Lighting is usually separated by people into three categories; white light, red light & blue light. White light is not something that you can love or something that you can hate, it depends on the room you are working with, whether it is a lining room, a library, a kitchen , a bedroom or a bathroom.

White light is usually referred to as cold light since it is closer to the blue light and it looks brighter to the eye, it seems that most people using white light are from sunnier countries while the people from the cooler countries may lean more towards a warm yellow light that can give a sense of serenity and relaxation. On the other hand white light is the total opposite of warm light since it is used in increasing alertness and enhancing one's performance that is why most of the people prefer using it in certain rooms in the house; such as the kitchen, bathroom and the office. It can also make the colors of the room look more vivid.

That being said white light has its functions but it may still be harmful or feel harsh to some people if they are exposed to large portions of it or to high levels of it, it can make you feel tired or overconsentrated, irritated as well as causing damage to your eyes.

To conclude white light can certainly be practical at home if used in certain rooms that needs it and if used carefully not concentrated by high levels, while in other rooms like the living room, bedroom or the hallway you may want to consider a more relaxing warm light .
